About the Event

Write On The River and NCW Libraries are happy to announce the 11th annual Teen Short Fiction Competition. It is open to high school students  in grades 9-12 (including private, home-schooled and Running Start students) living in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Grant and Ferry counties.

Online submissions are due by April 1st, and winners will be announced by May 1st.

$200 in cash prizes, graciously donated by Write on the River, will be distributed among three winning students for excellence in original fiction writing, which may be a complete short story or the first chapter of a novel. Submission length is 500 to 2000 words, and there is no entry fee.
