Write On The River 2026 Spring Writers Conference — “Ink in Bloom”

Whether you're chasing your first spark of inspiration or putting the finishing touches on a manuscript headed to publication, Write On The River's 2026 Spring Writers Conference has a seat with your name on it.
Join us for a weekend packed with craft sessions, industry insight, and genuine community, all in the heart of Wenatchee. Writers of every genre and every stage of the journey will find something here to inform, encourage, and energize their work.
Kick things off Friday evening with “Friday Night Writes”, a free event for conference attendees featuring first lines and first pages. A fun, low-pressure way to meet your fellow writers and presenters before the weekend gets underway. Then buckle up for a weekend of programming covering everything from poetry and memoir to publishing pathways, author branding, query letters, and more. Hear from agents, editors, and authors. Get feedback and ask the questions you've been sitting on.
Our featured writing coach, Lindsay Schopfer — award-winning author, editor, and creative writing instructor — will deliver the Saturday lunch keynote, The Writer's Odyssey, and offer personal one-on-one coaching consultations throughout the weekend.
Ready to pitch your manuscript? Acquiring agent Katie Reed will be in attendance and available for pitch appointments throughout the weekend. Details on her current acquisitions can be found in her bio.
Published authors will also have the opportunity to sell their books — details to come!
