L. Burton Brender
L. Burton Brender is an author and retired US Army officer. He has published with The Deadly Writers Patrol, The Ariel Chart, and The Academy of Heart & Mind, among others, and his war experience short story The Platoon Sergeant has won multiple awards at the local and national level. His non-fiction includes the pop-history Cashmere for Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series, the poetry chapbook In Cadence (with coauthor Rod Pattan), and numerous other publications in anthologies, poetry collections, and professional journals. He holds a Masters of Military Arts and Sciences from the US Army Command and General Staff College and served in the fall of 2024 as a researcher at the University of Oxford Department of Linguistics. His first novel, Archetype, is desperately looking for an agent.
