| Kay Kenyon is a novelist of speculative fiction.
Her most recent novels, The Braided World and Maximum
Ice, were short-listed for two of science fiction's top awards.
A frequent speaker at writing conferences, Kay has been a long-time
supporter of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association conference
in Seattle and the Write on the Sound Conference in Edmonds. |

| Jenny Vannier brings to the conference her expertise
in business and organization. After 13 years in Canada, she returned
to the Wenatchee Valley where she has held key positions with such
organizations as the Wenatchee Festival of Trees and the Wenatchee
Valley Hockey Camp.
She holds a BS in business from Oregon State. |

| Jamie Howell is a writer, filmmaker and musician.
He wrote and produced the Emmy-nominated documentary, Broken
Limbs: Apples, Agriculture and the New American Farmer. He
writes a weekly syndicated column called Howell at the Moon
and has released two albums with his band, Fathappy |

John Crew is a poet/writer and arts activist. He has
a BA degree in art from Central Washington University and a MFA
degree in sculpture from the University of Oregon. John is a past
president of the Wenatchee Arts Commission and the current president
of Gallery 76 on the Wenatchee Valley College campus. |

| Jeri Freimuth graduated from Washington State University
with a degree in journalism and has worked for weekly and daily
newspapers. Her articles and short stories have appeared in magazines
and she has written several series mysteries. Jeri currently works
as a communications technology coordinator, developing effective
ways to integrate the written word and other media forms. |

| Dan Sconce is a poet, painter and novelist. Dan co-founded
The Iamblers, Wenatchee Valley's premiere poetry group.
In 2004 he won first place in poetry at the Pacific Northwest Writers
Association conference. Dan is a frequent participant in public
poetry readings and competitions. In 2005 he led a poetry workshop
sponsored by A Book For All Seasons in Leavenworth. |

| Susan Murray is director of planning and institutional
effectiveness at Wenatchee Valley College. She holds a doctorate
in educational psychology from Stanford University and did her dissertation
research on expository writing instruction in high schools. |
